Some on-going projects in brief

(a) For the project on Democratic, Secular and Scientific Education Policy Bangladesh Foundation has taken steps in organising seminars, orientation course, programmes in Radio and Television, essay contest for students of schools, colleges & universities.

(b) Project on preparing a manuscript of a documentary book entitled "Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Government: Mujibnagar Part" in Bangla is progressing well. The persons assigned with the responsibility for writing different chapters on different subject matter are regularly monitored about their progress of writing. The book will include different activities of the-then Mujibnagar Government in India, photographs, documents, information relating to, still pictures Liberation War of Bangladesh. Also the pictures taken from American spy-satellite will be procured and will be used in the book. The Foundation has already taken steps to exchange views with the relevant persons and organizations, home and abroad. The Director General of the Foundation already visited London in this regard. During his visit to London, the Director General of the Foundation had collected a lot of information for the book. The book is targeted to be marketed in February 2004, the month of the martyrs of the great language movement of Bangladesh. The month had already marked as The International Language day of the world.

(c) Project on writing a book on Political Biography of Bangabandhu is complete. This was a joint venture of the Bangladesh Foundation for Development Research and Bangla Academy, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The manuscript is lying in Academy for publication.

(d) Bangladesh Foundation contributed in 1998 much for the flood-hit people and for re-building process of their home and hearth. In this kind of social and humane work it remains closely associated with the National Relief Committee of Bangladesh.

(e) Bangladesh Foundation takes different projects in organizing seminars and other social activities as and when these are felt necessary.
